KMIC covers 556 acres (2,249,288 m2) of prime land just north of Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city. This location was chosen because of its superb access to Yangon’s ports and airport. Moreover, there is little risk of flooding, a major problem in Southeast Asia. KMIC is situated in a generally level basin which minimizes the collection of storm water, and it is surrounded by well-planned and maintained farming waterways. These factors allow for natural drainage and there have been no reports of flooding in
the area.
